UT Art Education Alfombras Project

UT Art Education Alfombras Project is a collaboration between graduate students in art education and The Mesoamerica Center of the University of Texas at Austin. Students travel to Antigua, Guatemala to experience a once in a lifetime opportunity of cultural immersion. The graduate students will spend 10 days in Antigua during the Holy Week celebration engage in lectures, field trips and the ancient tradition of "alfombra" making.
